Sambalpur, Feb 20: The much-anticipated elevated corridor at Ainthapali on National Highway-53 is expected to be finished by December 2026. The project, which is progressing well, will feature a six-lane, 3.44 km-long corridor, including a 1.2 km flyover section.
This development aims to ease the traffic congestion in Ainthapali, where multiple major roads intersect, including the Sambalpur–Rourkela Biju Expressway and the new bus terminus. The elevated corridor will allow heavy vehicles to bypass the area, improving overall traffic flow.
With an investment of ₹374.17 crore from the Union Ministry of Highways, the project is a key initiative to enhance connectivity in Sambalpur.
