24th February 2025: The athletes from Odisha who triumphed at the 38th National Games were honored by the Department of Sports and Youth Services. The felicitation ceremony, held at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Center, recognized the medal winners with cash rewards and certificates.

Gold medalists were presented with 6 lakh rupees, silver medalists received 4 lakh rupees, and bronze medalists were awarded 3 lakh rupees. Sports Minister Shri Surjyabanshi Suraj graced the event as the chief guest.
In his address, the Sports Minister expressed immense pride in the athletes, emphasizing that they are a source of inspiration for the state. He spoke about the essence of sports, noting that success stems from determination and enthusiasm, while setbacks should only motivate athletes to come back stronger. The remarkable performances at the National Games are expected to inspire many young athletes in Odisha to pursue their dreams and excel in sports.
