22nd November 2024: Odisha is marking its State Day today at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event will feature a cultural program starting at 3:00 PM at Amphitheater-1, offering a glimpse into the state’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, along with other distinguished guests, will attend the celebration. This event aims to showcase the diverse traditions of Odisha and highlight the state’s contributions to India’s growth and development. The performances will bring together music, dance, and art, creating a vibrant representation of Odisha’s culture.

A standout feature at the Odisha Mandap in IITF 2024 is the showcasing of the date palm jaggery, known as ‘Odisha Khajuri Guda’. This GI (Geographical Indication) product, a staple in Odisha’s culinary heritage, has drawn significant attention from buyers. Enriched with numerous health benefits, its demand has surged in recent years, extending beyond Odisha to other parts of the country. The promotion of such products not only boosts local industries but also reinforces the state’s commitment to preserving and sharing its traditional offerings.

This celebration at IITF 2024 serves as an important platform to promote Odisha’s achievements and foster greater recognition on the national stage.
