Jeypore , Koraput, July 7: A major milestone in the field of education was achieved as the foundation stone was laid for the permanent campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Jeypore in Odisha’s Koraput district. Alongside, the newly constructed temporary (makeshift) campus was officially inaugurated, ensuring uninterrupted learning for students until the permanent infrastructure is completed.
The land for the permanent campus has been identified and dedicated to the long-term vision of providing quality central education to children in the tribal-dominated region of southern Odisha. The new campus aims to meet the growing demand for CBSE-based education in and around Jeypore and will be equipped with modern facilities, spacious classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and sports infrastructure.
The temporary facility will serve as the school’s functional campus until construction is complete. This move ensures that students will no longer face disruptions in learning due to infrastructure limitations.
The event marks a significant step toward improving access to quality education in rural and remote regions and reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive educational development in Odisha.
Local residents, parents, and educationists welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the permanent Kendriya Vidyalaya campus will play a key role in shaping the future of students in the region.
