Ayushman Bharat, through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), provides financial protection to vulnerable families by covering a broad range of medical services. Meanwhile, the Gopabandhu Arogya Yojana, launched by the Odisha government, focuses on ensuring that rural populations receive essential healthcare services without financial barriers.
To improve the implementation and coordination of these programs, the state is finalizing agreements that will allow for better alignment between the two schemes. This will enhance the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring that both urban and rural populations have access to comprehensive care. With these initiatives, Odisha is poised to make significant strides in improving healthcare infrastructure, reducing health disparities, and supporting overall rural development.
