Average Income of Farmers Rises, Says Latest Assessment

Bhubaneswar,  Feb, 20:  Farmers’ per capita income has increased in the state of Odisha.
Paddy is being procured at Rs3,100 per quintal.
Rs6,000 crore is being spent under the Samruddha Krushak Yojana for farmer support.
Rs2,020 crore is being spent under the CM Kisan Scheme to boost farmers’ income.
As a result, the per capita income of farming families has risen significantly.
Crop production in the state has tripled.
In 2000–01, total crop production was 55.35 lakh metric tonnes.
In 2024–25, crop production has increased to 150 lakh metric tonnes.
