Bhubaneswar:March, 14: An Amrit Bharat Express train will run through nine stations in Odisha. In a major boost to railway connectivity in the state, the Central Government has approved the introduction of a new Amrit Bharat train service connecting Pottanur and Dhanbad.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi about this development through a letter. The Railway Minister stated that this service will strengthen rail connectivity between Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Jharkhand.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw through his X (formerly Twitter) handle for approving the new Amrit Bharat train service, which will significantly enhance railway connectivity in the state.
Before reaching Jharkhand, the train will pass through several important stations in Odisha, including Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela.
With the launch of this train service, passengers from western and southern Odisha are expected to benefit greatly. It will also provide a convenient travel option to South India and other parts of the country. Students, workers, traders, and regular travelers who frequently commute between these regions are likely to be particularly benefited.
The new Amrit Bharat train is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and contribute to the overall development of Odisha.
