Bhubaneswar, 9th Aug 2025: Yesterday, at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi honored districts and blocks that performed excellently under the State-Level Saturation Campaign. Aspirational districts and blocks that achieved full coverage in health, nutrition, education, agriculture, and other development indicators were felicitated.
Among them, Nabarangpur district was awarded a Gold Medal for successfully achieving saturation in six indicators, which included:
- Timely immunization of pregnant women and children every three months,
- Nutritional services,
- Distribution of Mrittika health cards,
- Book distribution in schools,
- Electrification of schools,
- Screening for diabetes and hypertension,
- Inclusion in financial services.
On behalf of the district, District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain received the award on stage from the Chief Minister.
Similarly, Dabugam Block, having fulfilled all six indicators, was recognized as an Aspirational Block, and BDO Sarat Kumar Majhi, along with District Zilla Parishad CDO Biranchi Narayan Darwan, accepted the Gold Medal.
Tentulikhunti Block achieved completion in three indicators, for which BDO Manoj Kumar Panigrahi received the Bronze Medal from the Chief Minister.
Former Collectors Dr. Kamal Lochan Mishra and Dr. Subhankar Mahapatra were also honored by the CM for their roles in the successful implementation of this campaign in the district.
Notably, from August 2 to August 8, a special Aspirational Haat and a Saturation Campaign Honour Ceremony will be organized at the local Police Padia Ground.
