Nabarangpur:Mar, 23: A training programme for Census Field Trainers was conducted at the Ashok Mehta Conference Hall in Nabarangpur.
Under the direct supervision of District Collector and Principal Census Officer Maheshwar Swain, detailed guidance was provided on how to smoothly conduct the first phase of the upcoming Census. All master trainers present were oriented on effective management of census operations.
Among those present at the training workshop were Additional District Magistrate and District Census Officer Bishwajit Chandra Barman, Additional District Magistrate (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Sub-Collector and Sub-Divisional Census Officer Prakash Kumar Mishra, Tahasildar of Tentulikhunti and Master Trainer Pushpanjali Dandapat, Tahasildar of Umerkote and Master Trainer Madhaban Bag, Deputy Collector Nibedita Shatapathy, and Assistant Collector Shiba Shankar Padhi.
A total of 36 field trainers participated in the programme.
As per information shared, from April 1 to April 15, members of the public will be able to submit their self-enumeration data by answering 33 questions through a mobile app. From April 16 to May 15, enumerators will conduct door-to-door visits to collect census data.
During the training, special emphasis was laid on preparation of layout maps, proper data entry through the mobile app, accurate data collection, and correct uploading of information using technology. Trainers were given practical knowledge on how to upload error-free data through digital platforms.
On the final day of training, the field trainers conducted field visits to gain practical experience and learn how to address real-time challenges.
The trained field trainers will now provide training to enumerators and supervisors in their respective charge areas and take forward the census operations.
At the conclusion of the programme, the District Collector and Principal Census Officer distributed certificates and appointment letters to the field trainers.
