Curtains Fall on Tikabali Mahotsav Amid Cultural Fervour and Enthusiasm

Tikabali, April 04:  The Tikabali Mahotsav 2026 has been successfully concluded under the leadership of Bulu Digal, President of the Traditional Folk Artists’ Federation.
During the closing ceremony of the festival, around 25 dance groups performed. Teams including the Phulbani Nataraj Kala Mandir and several groups from Tikabali presented traditional dances, which were highly appreciated.
The District Collector, Veda Bhushan, attended as the chief guest. Among the distinguished guests were Dilip Kahnar, Tikabali Block Development Officer Bishnu Govind, Tikabali College Principal Dinabandhu Mohanty, former MLA Ajayanti Pradhan, Vice President of the District Cultural Association Bijendra Pradhan, Kui lyricist Jalandhar Behera, President of Kandhamal Artists’ Federation Krishna Chandra Digal (Bulu), Sankirtan Guru Simanchal Majhi, along with many artists and intellectuals from the region.
In the presence of a large audience, the festival was celebrated for the first time in a very beautiful and unique manner. The artists mesmerized the crowd with vibrant performances of traditional folk art and music, making the entire stage come alive.
This festival of folk culture, unity, and brotherhood—Tikabali Mahotsav—has inspired great enthusiasm among the audience, with hopes that it will continue to be celebrated every year with the same spirit and grandeur.
