Nabarangpur ,29th Oct 2025: A Bhima Bhoi Divyang (Persons with Disabilities) Empowerment Camp was organized on Saturday at the Dabugan Block Office premises in Nabarangpur district.
Specialist doctors including Dr. Sudipta Raut (ENT Specialist), Dr. Chinmaya Sahu (Orthopedic Surgeon), Dr. Santona Sagarika Pradhan (Eye Specialist), and Dr. N. Dhananjaya Pattnaik (Psychiatrist) attended the camp and provided medical treatment to differently-abled persons. In addition, Psychologist B. Bhu and Audiologist Shibaprasad Sethi, along with other health professionals, assisted in the medical consultations.
A total of 270 beneficiaries had registered online in advance, out of which 203 were provided UDID (Unique Disability ID) cards during the event.
Beena Majhi, Chairperson of Dabugan Block, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dhansingh Bhatra (Zilla Parishad Member, Zone-1), Gupta Bishoyi (Zilla Parishad Member, Zone-2), Ramarao Choudhury (Representative of Rajya Sabha MP), M.A. Rao (BJD Leader), Surendra Kumar Mishra (Block BJD President), Manoj Patra (BJP Dabugan Mandal President), Shubhajit Panigrahi (Representative of the Minister of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities), and G. Sairaju (Block Congress President) attended as Guests of Honour.
Other officials present included Sudhanshu Patra (District Social Security Officer), Sharata Majhi (BDO), Minati Dash (CDPO), and Padmanabh Bhalla (Panchayat Development Officer). Panchayat Executive Officers A.D. Prasad, Divyash Shankar Pujari, Arjun Bhatra, Kamini Harijan, Rupali Mandal, along with all Sarpanchs and Samiti Members, also participated in the program.
The event was well coordinated by Jatin Pani, Block Social Security Officer, with active support from Amulya Dalai and other staff members.
