Devotees Mark 50 Glorious Years of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Temple in Jeypore

Jeypore, March, 2:  The Golden Jubilee celebration was held at the Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Temple in the city with great devotion and enthusiasm.

Under the supervision of the Jeypore Kalinga Vaishya Sangam, the celebrations were observed with devotion from February 18 to February 19. On February 18 at 7:00 AM, a grand ceremonial procession of the deities was organized.

A large number of devotees participated in the procession, which passed through the main streets of the city with devotional songs and chanting. Later, a special abhisheka (holy ritual bathing) was performed for the main deity. Amid the chanting of sacred Vedic mantras by learned priests, a grand Chandi Yagam (spiritual fire ritual) was conducted.

On this auspicious occasion, as per scriptures, the re-consecration (Pratistha) of Sri Umaramalingeswara Swamy and Sri Satyanarayana Swamy was also performed.

Maharaja Vishweshwar Chandra Chud Deo of Jeypore participated in the पूजा rituals with great devotion. After the rituals, prasadam was distributed to the devotees.

On Saturday afternoon from 12:00 PM onwards, Anna Prasadam (community feast) was organized, in which a large number of devotees took part and received the blessed food.

The entire temple परिसर was filled with devotees, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Representatives of the Jeypore Kalinga Vaishya Sangam and members of the temple committee worked hard to ensure the successful organization of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The festival stood as a symbol of devotion, unity, and preservation of tradition in the city.
