Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: Preparations for the Mahadipa ceremony at Lingaraj Temple are in full swing ahead of Mahashivaratri. The Mahadipa will be lit at 10:00 PM tonight as part of the traditional celebrations.
In a recent coordination meeting with the Commissionerate Police, arrangements were made to ensure the safety and smooth management of the large crowds expected at the temple. A total of 35 platoons of police personnel and over 200 officers will be deployed to maintain order and security. Additionally, a traffic control plan has been put in place to manage vehicle movement and ensure the smooth flow of devotees attending the event.
