Exciting Matches Mark the Grand Finale of Pratap Memorial Cricket Tournament

Nandapur/March, 17: The Pratap Memorial Cricket Tournament, organized with the participation of eight teams from Andhra and Odisha, concluded at the DP-2 Camp ground under Kulabir Panchayat in Nandapur block.

In Sunday’s final match, Andhra Hidima 11 defeated Tirupati 11 by 20 runs to become the champions. After winning the toss, Hidima team chose to bat first and scored 144 runs. In reply,

Tirupati 11 managed to score 124 runs before being all out.
Anil Nil Pangi and Sushant Behera officiated as umpires.
Poet and social worker Bichitrananda Panda, Sarpanch Saita Sameli, and members of Pratap’s family presented the prizes. The winners received ₹25,000 along with certificates, mementos, and a trophy, while the runners-up were awarded ₹17,000 along with certificates and trophies.
The tournament was organized by the Kulabir DCA Cricket Club. Among others present on the occasion were Bishwanath Mohanty, Lokeshwar Mohanty, Tutu Mohanty, B. Chandra Bhushan, and L. Raja Rao.
