13th February 2025: During a significant visit to Marseille, President Emmanuel Macron and Indian officials inaugurated the new Indian Consulate, enhancing cultural, economic, and people-to-people connections between the two countries.

The visit included a solemn tribute at the Mazargues War Cemetery, honoring the courage and sacrifice of soldiers who fought during the First World War. This gesture highlighted the deep historical ties between India and France.
In addition, the leaders visited CMA-CGM’s control room, a global leader in shipping and logistics.
