Kalahandi, Feb, 11: Kalahandi District Collector Sachin Pawar climbed 1,200 feet to reach a village. Eight families will be brought down from the Niyamgiri hills, and the administration will make arrangements to include them in the mainstream of society.
The District Collector also inspected the construction work of 12 houses for tribal families under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, which is nearing completion at the site below.
For the first time in 2024, Lanjigarh BDO Shashank Patra had made efforts to bring these families down from the hills.
