Kalinga Guest House Inaugurated by President at Raj Bhavan Campus

Bhubaneswar:  Dec, 06:  On her two-day visit to Odisha, President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the newly built Kalinga Guest House within the Raj Bhavan premises on Thursday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Odisha’s Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Suresh Kumar Padhy, and former ministers Prithviraj Harichandan and others.

The newly built Kalinga Guest House showcases a blend of traditional and modern architectural styles, reflecting Odisha’s rich cultural heritage. The design incorporates classical Odia craftsmanship both externally and internally, with intricate wooden carvings, and the use of locally sourced materials. The guest house has been created to highlight the state’s deep cultural roots, while offering modern facilities for distinguished guests.

This project is seen as an important step in preserving Odisha’s cultural heritage and promoting its artistic traditions. The guest house is designed to provide a cultural and heritage experience for visitors, with the charm of classical Odia architecture being central to its aesthetic. The inauguration of the guest house marks an important milestone for the state and is expected to enhance Odisha’s profile as a center of culture and heritage.
