Kolnara, 11th Aug 2025: A palm oil tree plantation programme was organised at the Kolnara block headquarters in Rayagada district by the District Horticulture Department. As farmer Jagannath Dora of Kolnara village had decided to cultivate palm oil on his 5 acres of land, a mega plantation drive was held on his farmland.
Rayagada District Horticulture Officer Pramod Kumar Samal attended as the chief guest and planted saplings. Other distinguished guests included Kolnara Sarpanch Parmananda Kandagari, Deputy Director of Horticulture Dayanidhi Raut, Kolnara Block Agriculture Officer Shyam Murmu, Assistant Agriculture Officer Ramesh Chandra Pattnayak, farmer Agulu Patra of Kolnara, and Narendra Reddy, Director of Laxmi Balaji Oil Ltd., Kolnara.
Many women farmers from Dhepaguada and Kolnara villages were also present at the event.
