Leaders Urge Youth to Draw Inspiration from Martyr Lakshman’s Ideals Tributes Paid; Call to Embrace the Courage and Sacrifice of Martyr Lakshman

Nabarangpur, Nov 25:  The birth anniversary of Martyr Lakshman Naik was celebrated in Nabarangpur on Saturday. At the local Shaheed Lakshman Naik Government Primary School, where his statue is installed, floral tributes, worship, a memorial meeting, and a prize distribution ceremony were held. The event was organized by the District Information & Public Relations Office (DIPRO).

The memorial meeting began at 9 a.m.
Additional District Magistrate (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia attended as the chief guest and offered garlands to the statue.
Municipality Chairperson Kunu Naik attended as the distinguished guest, while educationist and Utkal Parishad President Bijay Kumar Choudhury served as the keynote speaker.
Other honored guests included Bar Association President Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Executive Officer of the Municipality Ashok Kumar Karna, and District Culture Officer Ghasiar Harijan.

At the start of the program, DIPRO Manoj Kumar Behera presented information on the life and struggle of Martyr Lakshman Naik. Students, teachers, and staff from various schools attended the memorial meeting.

Speakers highlighted Lakshman Naik’s life, leadership in the freedom struggle, courage, patriotism, bravery, and devotion to the nation. They urged everyone to draw inspiration from his ideals.

Winners of the speech competition were awarded by the guests.

Among others present were Narayan Panda, Sangita Tripathy, Manorama Majhi, BEO Srikant Jani, ABEO Jagabandhu Soura, CRC Shubhendu Panda, CRC Manaswini Panda, as well as intellectuals and journalists from the town.

Staff members of the Information & Public Relations Office—Dillip Mallik, Banamali Gochhi, Nilambar Naik, Bighnaraj Majhi, and Subrata Bishoyi—assisted with the event.
