Umerkote, Feb, 18: In Nabarangpur district’s Umerkote Police Station, Bipin Kumar Bag joined duty on Tuesday as the new Officer-in-Charge. He stated that priority will be given to resolving public grievances, preventing theft, managing traffic problems, stopping vehicles that create excessive noise, and reducing road accidents.
He also said that cooperation from local residents is essential to maintain peace and law and order in the town. Strict police patrolling will be carried out to prevent theft, and if information is received about illegal cannabis (ganja) trafficking, the mafias involved will be brought under control.
Members of the Umerkote Press Club, led by president Nalini Ranjan Mishra, visited the police station and greeted the new Officer-in-Charge with bouquets.
