Malkangiri Beneficiaries Receive Third Installment Under Subhadra Scheme

Malkangiri,11th Aug 2025:  On the occasion of Raksha Purnima, the third installment distribution program of the Subhadra scheme was held at the local Cultural Hall. Today, in the state-level program organized in Jeypore, Koraput district, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended as the chief guest. All districts of the state participated in the program virtually.

In the district-level event, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kshya Samara Mari Tangulu attended as the chief guest, while Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khila, District Collector Somesh Upadhyay, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Bedabar Pradhan, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Naresh Chandra Sabar, Deputy Collector Agni A.L., District Social Welfare Officer Gouri Nayak, District Social Security Officer Napati Nirmal Dharua, MP representative Sanjay Sarkar, Sadar BDO Tapan Senapati, and Dr. Saubhagya Ranjan Ransingh were present.

The Collector conveyed his best wishes for Raksha Purnima and encouraged mothers to become self-reliant using the financial assistance provided under the Subhadra scheme. On this occasion, he shared how women from the Chitrakonda Swabhiman area have become economically self-sufficient through small businesses. Chief Development Officer Shri Sabar delivered the welcome speech.

Two Subhadra beneficiaries — Mary Harijan from Korakunda and Radhka Khara from Khairput — shared their success stories with the gathering. In the district, 1,51,474 Subhadra application forms have been submitted. Out of these, in the first installment, 1,39,851 forms were approved, and 1,39,727 beneficiaries received the sanctioned amount.

Similarly, in the second installment, 1,38,662 forms were approved, and 1,38,351 beneficiaries received the financial assistance. Today, Subhadra sisters tied rakhi to the guests. The program was conducted by District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi. The district Social Welfare Department officials, staff, and all employees of the Sadar Block office cooperated in organizing the event.
