Nabarangpur Non-Veg Market to Get a New Look Under Comprehensive Renovation and Beautification Plan

Nabarangpur, March 23: The non-vegetarian market located beside the local Sanjay Daily Market in Nabarangpur is set for a major transformation. The State Government has sanctioned ₹3 crore for the construction of a modern, air-conditioned non-veg market complex.
Earlier, the vegetable and grocery sections of the old Sanjay Daily Market were shifted to a market near the LIC office. However, the non-veg market had not been relocated. At present, several meat vendors are operating from different squares and roadside locations across the town.
To bring all non-vegetarian traders under one roof and provide them with proper facilities, the municipality had proposed the construction of a new market complex. The proposal was approved in the Municipal Council meeting and sent to the State Government’s Housing and Urban Development Department. The State Government has now approved the proposal and sanctioned ₹3 crore for the project.
A three-storey non-veg market building will be constructed. The ground floor will have parking facilities, while the upper two floors will be used for non-veg sales. The complex will be equipped with air-conditioning, exhaust fans, parking, storage facilities, and a proper waste management system, said Municipal Executive Officer Dr. Ashok Kumar Karna.
