Semiliguda,18th Oct 2025: The Koraput district chapter of the Odisha Blood Donors Association has been formally established. A meeting of blood donors and blood donation camp organizers was held at the Multipurpose Hall in Semiliguda, Koraput district.
Dr. Naresh Sahu, the State President of Odisha Blood Donors Association, was present and informed that around 12,000 units of blood are required every month in Odisha, while only about 9,000 units are collected. He emphasized the need to expand the voluntary blood donation movement and highlighted the importance of organizing regular blood donation camps in every district.
During the meeting, the Koraput chapter was officially announced with the following office bearers:
- Bijay Kumar Sahu – President
- Pradeep Tripathy – Working President
- Jay Badtaya, Rajesh Yadav, Niranjan Panigrahi – Vice Presidents
- Mishra – General Secretary
- Anand Mouli Pattnaik – Organizational Secretary
- Swastik Mishra, Tulasi Das Nayak, Pabitra Mohan Sahu – Joint Secretaries
- Ganesh Sahu – Treasurer
- Mamata Mahankud – Sunabeda Municipality Coordinator
- Pramod Raul – Jeypore Municipality Coordinator
