2nd January 2025: In a recent meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the Odisha government outlined its strategy to fill vacant positions in various departments. The meeting emphasized a swift, transparent, and unbiased recruitment process. The state government aims to fill 1.5 lakh government posts over the next five years, with 65,000 positions already slated for recruitment in the next two years. Presently, 1,10,557 posts remain vacant.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also discussed key targets for the New Year. These include improving government efficiency, achieving developmental milestones, and ensuring collective responsibility among officials to fulfill promises made to the public. The government has successfully met many of its commitments over the past six months and remains focused on future opportunities and challenges.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the successful observance of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, underscoring the state’s continued growth and engagement with the global Indian diaspora.
