Bhubaneswar,26th Aug 2025: The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) will soon establish its second campus in Sambalpur. In addition, two new agriculture colleges will be set up in Balangir and Mayurbhanj districts. Subarnapur district will also get a new fisheries college, announced Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
Speaking at the 64th Foundation Day celebrations of OUAT in Bhubaneswar today, Singh Deo said that land has already been identified for the Sambalpur campus, and work will begin soon.
Similarly, the process for establishing new agriculture colleges in Balangir and Mayurbhanj has started. The proposed fisheries college in Subarnapur will give a major boost to fish farmers in western Odisha, he added.
