President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Cuttack, Attend Three Key Events

Cuttack, Odisha, July 15, 2025: President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to visit Cuttack tomorrow to participate in three significant programs as part of her official itinerary.

Her day will begin with the 13th Convocation Ceremony of Ravenshaw University, where she will arrive at 11:00 AM. The event is expected to conclude by noon, following which the President will proceed to Ravenshaw Girls’ High School, located near Gaurishankar Park.

At 12:30 PM, President Murmu will lay the foundation stone for a new modern academic building, being constructed at an estimated cost of ₹90 crore. This infrastructure is part of the government’s continued push to upgrade educational facilities in the state.

After the ceremony, the President will take a short break and rest at the Circuit House before heading to her final engagement for the day.

At 3:50 PM, she will arrive at Sarala Bhavan, located near Biju Patnaik Square, to pay floral tribute at the statue of renowned poet and reformer Sarala Das. From there, she will proceed to the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, where she will attend the 45th Annual Festival of the Sarala Sahitya Sansad and the 600th birth anniversary celebration of Sarala Das.

The program at the stadium is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and conclude around 5:00 PM, after which the President will return to Bhubaneswar by road.

Elaborate security and administrative arrangements have been made in Cuttack for the President’s visit. Her presence at these events highlights the importance of education, cultural heritage, and the role of women in Odisha’s development.
