24th April 2025, Puri, Odisha – The state-level celebration of National Panchayati Raj Day 2025 was held with great enthusiasm at Talabania, Puri. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, who inaugurated several people-centric initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and rural development.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized the vital role of Panchayati Raj institutions in ensuring inclusive growth, empowerment of rural communities, and participatory democracy. He also applauded the tireless efforts of local self-governing bodies in implementing welfare schemes and bringing government services closer to the people.
The program featured the launch of new development projects, felicitation of outstanding Panchayat representatives, and discussions on strengthening rural governance. Delegates and representatives from across the state participated in the event, sharing best practices and success stories.
The celebration marked a reaffirmation of Odisha’s commitment to decentralized governance and building stronger, more resilient rural communities through empowered Panchayati Raj institutions.
