Umarkot, Feb, 27: A women’s badminton tournament has been inaugurated by the voluntary organization Help Line, based in Nabarangpur district.
In the junior category, 38 participants are competing, while the senior category has 69 participants.
In the junior category, Arpita Sahu, Mahnur Ali, and Saikruti Panda have reached the finals.
The tournament was inaugurated by social worker Durgaprasad Prasad Mallik, Director of Help Line. The event aims to encourage women to take an interest in sports and promote sports development, a goal widely appreciated by the guests.

The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Chandana Mallik, Deputy Chairperson, with the Help Line President Krushnaprasad Pattnayak, senior teacher Naresh Kumar Pattnayak, and sports coordinator Salim Rathore overseeing the sports management.
The women players will have access to an independent badminton practice court for training. The construction of the sports court has been promised by Cabinet Minister Nityananda Gand, for which the organization has conveyed its gratitude.
