Veteran Congress Leader Maheshwar Raut Dies; Political Circles Mourn Loss of Experienced Statesman and Social Worker

Dhusuri, March 24: Senior Congress leader, former Ward Member, and social worker Maheshwar Raut (72) passed away. He belonged to Bayangdihi Panchayat under Dhamnagar Block of Bhadrak district.
After retiring from government service, he joined the Congress organization and dedicated himself to social service. He had been undergoing treatment in a hospital for the past few days due to ill health, and passed away while under medical care.
Upon receiving the news, several senior Congress organizers and party workers visited his residence at Gunthina village to pay their last respects and expressed deep condolences.
Among those who expressed grief were former MP Ananta Prasad Sethi, former District Congress President Narayan Chandra Padhi, Dhamnagar Congress leader and former MLA candidate Ranjan Kumar Behera, Block Congress President and advocate Ramesh Chandra Behera, former Block Congress President Narendra Kumar Mallik, Youth Congress President Alok Kumar Swain, Dhamnagar Town Congress President Pramod Kumar Swain, along with several other senior leaders and party members.
