Nandapur, Nov 25: With the support of the State Education Research and Training Council (TIO SCERT), a block-level National Children’s Science Exhibition was organized on Thursday at the Nandapur Block High School campus. Students from 56 schools in the block participated, displaying a total of 115 projects.
The exhibition was inaugurated by video message from Durga Prasad Dora, Tehsildar Devabrata Maharana, and Block Cooperative Education Officer Mamataja Gama Gang. The purpose of the fair was to encourage scientific thinking, subject knowledge, and technical skills among students, while promoting projects that are measurable, low-cost, and sustainable.
Among the projects, 22 were focused on waste management and alternatives to plastic. From these, Manoj Shisa, a student of Paraja Belgaon Unnita High School, was selected as the top project for district-level competition.
Other notable projects included:
Technology: 7 projects, with Uma Maheswari Sethi of Padua High School being recognized.
Mathematical Methods/Innovative Thinking: 19 projects, with Rama Khemundu of Hinkimput Unnita High School selected.
Health and Hygiene: 20 projects, also from Hinkimput Unnita High School.
Water Conservation and Management: 18 projects, with student Babulik Khara of OV Nandapur recognized.
Green Energy: 20 projects, with Swati Khara of Bheja Unnita High School noted.
Nutritional Agriculture: 9 projects, with P. Nandita Patra of Jolaput Balika High School awarded first place.
Secondary Level: Shubhashish Tripathy of OV school was awarded first place for his project.
These eight student projects have been nominated for the district-level competition. All participating students were awarded certificates by the High School Principal, Anjulta Garada.
The exhibition was coordinated and conducted by Science Teacher and Block Coordinator, Pradeep Kumar Tripathy.
