India, Feb 26: Aliens Tattoo, India’s leading tattoo studio chain, has announced the launch of ‘Cause for the Paws’ a long-term animal welfare initiative born from the brand’s everyday coexistence with community cats and dogs across its studios.

For years, animals have been an intrinsic part of Aliens Tattoo’s studio environment, from feeding strays and tending to injured cats and dogs to welcoming companion animals brought in by clients. What began as everyday compassion has now evolved into a structured social responsibility programme aimed at creating measurable impact.
The initiative begins with a strategic partnership with PETA India, under which Aliens Tattoo is supporting the sterilization and medical care of the community cats through PETA India’s ongoing cat sterilization program. The collaboration reflects a shared focus on sustainable animal welfare solutions that go beyond short-term relief.
As part of Cause for the Paws, Aliens Tattoo has committed 1% of its annual net profits to verified animal welfare programs. The contribution is allocated annually toward initiatives focused on sterilization, medical treatment, food support and shelter assistance for community cats and dogs. Funds are tracked and deployed with an emphasis on transparency, accountability and long-term impact. The current allocation is being directed toward PETA India’s community cat sterilization efforts, addressing both medical care and responsible population management.
Mr. Sunny Bhanushali, Founder, Aliens Tattoo, “At Aliens Tattoo, art and empathy have always gone hand in hand. The idea for Cause for the Paws grew naturally from our everyday studio life, caring for community animals and witnessing how deeply clients connect with their pets through tattoos. This initiative is our way of turning that everyday care into long-term action, using our platform to give back to the community animals who have always been part of our journey.”
Aliens Tattoo has consistently positioned itself as more than a tattoo brand, fostering a movement rooted in creativity, emotional expression, and conscious growth. With Cause for the Paws, the brand extends the idea of self-expression into social expression, where every tattoo contributes to a purpose beyond the skin.
The initiative was formally introduced through a dedicated launch event attended by members of the animal welfare community, companion animal parents, influencers, and partner brands. The launch was supported by Ms. Maneka Gandhi, People For Animals, Heads Up For Tails (HUFT), Pedigree, and other animal-loving stakeholders, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to animal welfare.
While PETA India is the first partner under Cause for the Paws, Aliens Tattoo has designed the initiative as an open and evolving platform. The brand plans to expand support to additional verified animal welfare organisations across India, with a focus on localised and community-driven impact.
Looking ahead, Aliens Tattoo envisions Cause for the Paws growing into a self-sustaining ecosystem that brings together tattoo artists, enthusiasts, and animal welfare advocates. Future plans include city-level programs, support for rescue networks and shelters, and annual “Ink for a Cause” initiatives where every tattoo directly contributes to animal welfare efforts.
“Purpose and profit don’t need to exist separately,” Sunny added. “This is just the beginning of building a more conscious, responsible creative ecosystem.”
Over the years, Aliens Tattoo has worked with countless clients who choose to memorialise or celebrate their animal companions through tattoos. These sessions often carry a deeper emotional significance, marking bonds of love, loyalty, and loss. Such experiences have reinforced the brand’s understanding of how deeply animals are woven into personal stories, further strengthening the intent behind Cause for the Paws.
