Bhubaneswar, Aug 25 [UDN}:Admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Postgraduate (PG) Ayurveda courses for the 2026–27 academic session has received approval for three Ayurveda colleges in Odisha. The permission covers institutions located in Puri, Ganjam and Balangir districts, paving the way for students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Ayurveda in the state.
The approval is expected to provide an important opportunity for aspiring students who wish to build their careers in the traditional Indian system of medicine. With the necessary permission granted for the new academic session, the concerned Ayurveda colleges can proceed with the admission process for eligible candidates in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines.
The availability of BAMS seats will benefit students seeking professional undergraduate education in Ayurveda, while approval for PG programmes will enable qualified Ayurveda graduates to pursue advanced studies and specialization in various disciplines.
