Bhubaneswar: Oct 9 [UDN}:A devotional and spiritually enriching Bhagabat Janma Utsav was organised in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of the sacred birth anniversary of Srimad Bhagabata and Bhadraba Purnima.
The celebration was held at the Akhandalamani premises of AIG Colony in Bir Surendra Sai Nagar, under the joint auspices of Radharani Bhagabata Tungi and the Sri Jagannath Sanskriti Prachar Sansthan, India.
Professor Dr Prashant Kumar Rath attended the programme as the chief speaker and spoke about the Radha Tattva and the spiritual significance of Srimad Bhagabata, highlighting its role in shaping human life, values and spiritual consciousness.
The programme was presided over by T. Narayan Mahapatra, president of the Sri Jagannath Sanskriti Prachar Sansthan. The proceedings were coordinated by Kalpataru Bhai, Minister Manorama Jena and Prashant, according to the organisers.
At the beginning of the programme, members and devotees of the Bhagabata Tungi delivered devotional addresses and highlighted the significance of the sacred scripture.
As part of the celebration and with the objective of promoting spiritual awareness in the local community, three devotees were presented with copies of the sacred Bhagabata scripture.
Among those who were present and extended their cooperation in conducting the programme were Bijay Mohan Panda, Trilochan Nayak, Akshaya Kumar Saha, Dushmant Kumar Dhar, Srinivas Rao, Laxman Rao and Chakradhar Majhi, along with other members of the organising groups.
A large number of local residents and devotees attended the satsang, participated in the spiritual programme and later took Mahaprasad.
