Bhubaneswar, July 23 UDN}: A workshop titled “Changing Trends in the Field of Communication” was organised at the Press Information Bureau (PIB) office in Bhubaneswar for Indian Information Service (IIS) officers working in Odisha. The workshop focused on the rapidly evolving communication landscape and the changing trends, challenges, and opportunities emerging in the field of public communication in the digital age.
The programme was attended by Indian Information Service officers serving in various parts of Odisha, providing them with an opportunity to discuss contemporary developments in communication, the growing influence of digital media, and the need to adopt innovative and effective communication strategies to reach people in a timely and impactful manner.
The workshop was chaired by Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General of PIB and CBC, Bhubaneswar. During the programme, discussions were held on the changing nature of communication and the importance of keeping pace with emerging technologies and evolving media platforms. The workshop also highlighted the need for information officers to strengthen their communication skills and make effective use of modern tools and platforms for disseminating accurate, reliable, and citizen-centric information.
The event served as an important platform for IIS officers to exchange views and experiences, understand the latest developments in the communication sector, and explore ways to improve government communication and public outreach. The workshop also emphasised the significance of adapting to new communication trends while maintaining professionalism, credibility, transparency, and accuracy in the dissemination of information to the public.
