Chhatia, March, 10: The State-Level Police Firing Competition was inaugurated on Thursday at the State Police Training Institute located at Bairi-Solar under Jajpur district.
The event was formally inaugurated by IG of the State Intelligence Department, R.P. Koche, who attended as the chief guest.
A total of 167 participants from 16 teams representing various departments across the state are taking part in the competition. According to the Police Training Department, the event will continue for four days.
Addressing the participants, IG Koche stated that such competitions help promote discipline, focus, and a friendly spirit among police personnel, and encouraged them to uphold the pride and honor of the Odisha Police.
Commandant of the Police Training Camp, Ashok Kumar Dehuri, delivered the welcome address and provided detailed information about the competition. Finally, DSP Sanatan Sahu of the training camp expressed gratitude to the police officers, participants, and staff members.
