Bhubaneswar,June 22 {UDN}: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Chief Minister announced that new Ayurvedic Medical Colleges will be established in the districts of Gajapati, Malkangiri, and Rayagada. The initiative aims to strengthen traditional healthcare services and expand opportunities for Ayurvedic education in the state.
The new institutions are expected to improve access to quality medical education and healthcare facilities in the tribal and underserved regions of Odisha. The move reflects the government’s commitment to promoting Ayurveda and integrating traditional systems of medicine with modern healthcare development.
The announcement was welcomed by local residents and healthcare professionals, who believe it will contribute significantly to regional development, employment generation, and better healthcare services in southern Odisha.
