Bhubaneswar, Sept 16 [UDN}:With the objective of making urban life more convenient, comfortable and progressive, various developmental initiatives are being undertaken across municipal areas of Odisha under the Mukhyamantri Sahari Bikash Yojana (Chief Minister’s Urban Development Scheme).
The scheme focuses on addressing the everyday needs of urban residents and strengthening basic civic infrastructure. As part of these efforts, several projects are being implemented to improve roads and communication infrastructure, drainage systems and urban beautification.
Road improvement works are being undertaken to provide smoother and safer movement for residents, while emphasis is also being placed on developing better drainage facilities to address waterlogging and improve sanitation in urban areas. Alongside infrastructure development, beautification initiatives are being carried out to create cleaner, more attractive and citizen-friendly urban spaces.
The ongoing measures are aimed at strengthening essential municipal infrastructure and improving the overall standard of living for people residing in the state’s urban and municipal areas.
