Malkangiri March, 2:The 12th Annual Function of DAV Gurukul School Chitrakonda was celebrated with great pomp and grandeur at the Mini Stadium in Chitrakonda, located in Malkangiri district.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. School students Philia Mariam, B. Neha Shubhashree, and Shraddha Gouda presented the welcome song. The school advisor, Mrs. Rita Maharana, presented the annual report.
The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Rajeshwari Khol, Chairperson of the Chitrakonda Panchayat Samiti, who highlighted the school’s role in the holistic development of students. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Soumya Ranjan Das, Principal of Chitrakonda SSD Higher Secondary School; Dr. Jasmine Behera from Chitrakonda Sub-Divisional Hospital; Mr. Sushant Samal, Chairman of DAV Gurukul, Malkangiri district; Mr. Bishnushree Biswas Prabhat Das, Principal of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya; Mr. Gopinath Seth, teacher at the Teacher Training Institute, Malkangiri; and the keynote speaker, Mr. Chinmaya Kumar Behera, Principal of Chitrakonda Adarsha College.
All programs were conducted under the guidance of the school secretary, Mr. Rakesh Maharana. Students who excelled in various competitions were awarded prizes by the guests. The students also presented vibrant cultural performances.
The event was compered by teachers Mr. Saroj Kumar Parida and Mr. Debabrata Das Pattnaik. Office bearers including Mrs. Rajalakshmi Das (President), Saraswati Khara, Poonam Bag, Sumitra Nayak, Saraswati Pradhan, Rojy Sagaria, Manjula Nayak, Indure Khemudu, and Mr. Brajabandhu Nayak (Advisor) extended their support for the successful आयोजन of the function.
Finally, the school President, Mr. Ram Kishore Sahu, expressed his gratitude to the guests, management committee members, and all supporters, making the event a grand success.
