Dhusuri , Aug 20 [UDN}:A Cyber Crime Awareness Camp was successfully organized on Wednesday at the IGM Smruti Science and Higher Secondary School in Dhusuri, Bhadrak district. The programme was conducted under the direction of the Bhadrak Superintendent of Police (SP).
The event was presided over by the institution’s Principal, Prafulla Behera. Dhamnagar SDPO Bishnu Charan Barik attended the programme as the chief guest. Dhusuri Police Station SI Sujata Sahu, Chinmay Patra, journalists Santosh Das and Ratikanta Nayak, and senior lecturer Gouranga Charan Nayak were among those present.
During the awareness camp, the speakers held detailed discussions on the importance of cybercrime awareness, cyber safety measures, and relevant rules and regulations, including the BNS, BNSS and BSA-2023. Parents and students were advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from cybercrime and online fraud.
The camp was coordinated and its programme schedule was efficiently managed by the Computer Science Department. At the beginning of the programme, the guests were formally introduced and welcomed.
College lecturers Kamal Lochan Mallik, Abhaya Charan Behera, Golak Sethi, and Gopabandhu Jena were also present and shared their views on the benefits of cybercrime awareness and its growing importance in today’s society.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Narendra Kumar Sahu.
