Day 2 of Kandhamal Folk Festival and Trade Fair Witnesses Enthusiastic Participation, Showcasing Rich Tribal Culture and Handicrafts

Phulbani, April 11: On the second day of the Kandhamal Folk Festival and Trade Fair 2026, the evening program was attended by Additional District Magistrate of Kandhamal, Kushal Chandra Nayak, as the chief guest. He extended his best wishes for the success of the festival, which aims to promote the art, culture, traditions, and trade of Kandhamal district, and thanked the organizers.
Among the distinguished guests were Bhagaban Mohanty, President of the Kandhamal District Bar Association and advisor to the trade fair, and Dr. Narendra Kumar Behera, Dean and Superintendent of Phulbani Government Medical College. They stated that the fair would not only provide entertainment to the residents but also help boost business activities, expressing hope for its continued growth and success.
Others present included senior journalist Sunil Pattnaik, President of the festival committee, and Working President Radhamohan Mohapatra. Vice-President Sujit Behera, along with committee members Prasanna Kumar Swain, Mohammed Chishti, Sonu Kumar Behera, Muskan Suar, Anita Pattnaik, Subhra Pattnaik, Ranjit Behera, Shiva Nayak, and Khutis Malik, also contributed to the आयोजन.
The fair is being held for 12 days, from April 8 to April 19. Artists from Play School and S.K. Music presented colorful cultural performances. The stage proceedings were conducted by Cultural Secretary Ashok Mohanty.
