Devotional Fervor Marks Conclusion of Basanti Navratri Festival

Nabarangpur, April 07: The Basanti Navratri पूजा of Maa Bhandar Gharani, the presiding deity of Nabarangpur, has concluded successfully.
Every year, this nine-day festival begins on Chaitra Pratipada and ends on Chaitra Shukla Navami. This year, the rituals commenced on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada with the ceremonial lighting of the sacred lamp (Mahadeep) in the presence of royal priest Narasingha Nath Tripathy.
On Tuesday (Saptami), the Maha Saptami rituals were performed. On Wednesday (Ashtami), after the Maha Ashtami rituals, the deity underwent ceremonial bathing (Mahasnan) following the evening aarti. At around 10 PM, the Maha Homa (sacred fire ritual) was conducted. On Thursday (Navami), the Sandhi Puja was performed between 11:45 AM and 12:33 PM, followed by the Purnahuti (final offering) at night.
During these nine days, Maa Bhandar Gharani appeared before devotees in different adornments each day. The deity was offered rituals and decorations in four phases daily, along with continuous homa and yajna ceremonies during both day and night. Special food offerings (Anna Bhog) were made during midday and at night after the completion of the rituals.
All the rituals of the festival were conducted under the supervision of royal priest Narasingha Nath Tripathy. The temple’s chief priest Babunu Rath, along with Rajib Lochan Pujari, Kunja Rath, Manoj, Pankaj, Babuna, Prasanna Kumar Rath, and others actively performed the पूजा rituals.
Several assistants and volunteers, including Babula Tripathy, Sudhakar Padhy, Bidhu Shekhar Tripathy, Debendra Mishra, Pramish Tripathy, Gaur Tripathy, Suresh Tripathy, Siddheshwar Mahapatra, Shesh Dev Sadangi, and Muna Panda, also contributed to the successful आयोजन.
Members of the temple management committee, along with police officials and personnel from Nabarangpur police station, were present throughout the event to maintain order and provide support.
