Dhusuri, Sept 23 [UDN}:: The 16th annual foundation day of the Lions Club Bhadrakali Divine, Bhadrak, was celebrated with grandeur at the Narendra Royal Auditorium in Dhusuri. On the occasion, the club felicitated individuals who have made notable contributions and achieved distinction in various fields of society.
As part of the ceremony, eminent educationist Dhananjay Behuria was honoured for his significant contribution to the development of education in Bhadrak and the Kothar area. Hailing from a remote rural village, Behuria has achieved recognition through years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication. He has played an important role in the expansion of educational facilities by establishing several educational institutions in Bhadrak and the surrounding Kothar region.
Behuria was felicitated with a citation and an upadhoukan as a mark of appreciation for his contribution to the field of education. Lecturer Sridhar Sahu read out the citation highlighting his achievements and service to education.
Senior advocate Parshuram Dwibedi, former District Governor (PDG) Lion Prakash Jena, lecturer Lion Prabhat Kumar Dhal, and Second Vice District Governor (VDG) Lion Ashok Kumar Mohanty attended the समारोह as distinguished guests. They congratulated the awardees and addressed the gathering, adding to the significance of the annual celebration.
The programme was successfully conducted with the active cooperation of the office-bearers and members of the Lions Club. The event also highlighted the organisation’s efforts to recognise individuals whose contributions have made a meaningful impact on society, particularly in the field of education.
