Asika,Aug 14 [UDN}:: An awareness camp under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug-Free India Campaign) was organised at the Government Degree College, Dharakote, with the objective of sensitising students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promoting a healthy, addiction-free society.
The programme was organised under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Sujit Kumar Panda in association with the Dharakote branch of Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. Bhagyalata Behen, in-charge of the Dharakote branch, attended the programme and addressed the students on the dangers of addiction.
She urged students to stay away from intoxicating substances and play an active role in building a healthy, peaceful and addiction-free society. The programme also highlighted the importance of awareness, self-discipline and positive lifestyle choices among young people.
All teaching and non-teaching staff members extended their cooperation towards the successful organisation of the awareness programme. Lecturer Arati Patra, coordinator of the Shaktishree initiative, proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
