Dhinkia, May 30: An initial investment of ₹65,000 crore will be made in the first phase. A massive industrial project by JSW Steel is set to begin at Dhinkia in Jagatsinghpur district today. The foundation stone for the mega steel plant will be laid by Mohan Charan Majhi along with Sajjan Jindal.
The upcoming project is expected to transform the industrial landscape of Jagatsinghpur and generate large-scale employment opportunities in the region. The steel plant will have an annual production capacity of 13.2 million tonnes and will also include a 900 MW captive power plant.
The project is being seen as one of the biggest industrial investments in Odisha and is expected to boost economic growth, infrastructure development, and ancillary industries in the state.
Local residents and business communities are hopeful that the mega project will create new opportunities for youth and accelerate the overall development of the coastal belt of Odisha.
