DLPC Meeting Held at Sadbhavana Sabha Griha; Sasamita Melka Demands Greater Focus on Farmers’ Issues

Bhubaneswar, May 16:  The DLPC meeting was held today at Sadbhavana Sabha Griha, where Sasamita Melka participated and raised several important issues concerning farmers’ welfare.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the problems faced by farmers who were unable to complete the registration process for the Rabi crop procurement. Concerns were also raised about farmers not receiving payments related to loading, unloading, and bagging charges, along with various other difficulties affecting the agricultural community.

Special emphasis was placed on ensuring that farmers can sell their produce smoothly and without inconvenience. Instructions were given to the DRCS (Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies) to take necessary steps and prioritize measures that would facilitate hassle-free crop procurement for farmers.

It was also stated that if the government fails to take appropriate action for those farmers who could not complete their registration, support will be extended to them through democratic protest on the streets.

A strong message of solidarity was conveyed, reaffirming continued support for the farmers and commitment to standing by them in their struggle for justice and fair treatment.
