Malkangiri , Sept 7 [UDN}:The annual Abhim Football Tournament was organised at Tulsiguda village under Podaghat Panchayat in Khairput Block under the auspices of the Maa Mauli Football Club.
Khairput Block Chairman Bighna Kirsani attended the event as the chief guest. Other guests included Zilla Parishad member Bali Majhi, Gobindpali Sarpanch Srinivas Muduli, Kudumulugumma LAMP President Gopi Pangi, Samiti member Radhuka Kalakura, social workers Sadhu Hantal, Bhagaban Sahu, Pritam Gudateli, Pramod Kumar Swain and Debendra Khemudu.
The guests enjoyed the final match, in which the Tulsiguda team emerged victorious after scoring three goals against Ramachandrapur.
Chief guest Bighna Kirsani presented the winning Tulsiguda team with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 30,000. The runners-up, Ramachandrapur team, received a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Narendra Majhi officiated as the chief referee, while Umashankar Majhi and Indra Palasi assisted as referees. Ramchandra Kope conducted the live commentary and announcements through the microphone.
Maa Mauli Football Club President Gautam Kalakura, Laichhan Kalakura, Dambha Kalakura, Raju Phataka, Hari Kalakura, Dhana Kalakura, Krishna Dasa, Purkha Kalakura and Mangaraj Kalakura, among others, played key roles in successfully organising the tournament.
