Speaking during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, the Prime Minister said that Kargil Vijay Diwas reminds every Indian of the extraordinary bravery and unwavering determination displayed by the country’s armed forces during the Kargil War.
He paid tribute to the valiant soldiers who fought with immense courage in extremely difficult conditions and made the supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and security of the motherland. The Prime Minister said that the bravery of the soldiers who defended the nation’s borders will always remain an inspiring chapter in India’s history.
He emphasised that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of the indomitable spirit of the Indian armed forces and an occasion to remember the sacrifices made by the nation’s heroes. Their courage, dedication, and sense of duty continue to inspire generations of Indians and strengthen the spirit of patriotism among the people.
The Prime Minister also urged citizens, especially the younger generation, to remember the sacrifices of the Kargil heroes and draw inspiration from their lives. He said that the stories of the brave soldiers who fought for the country should continue to be shared so that future generations understand the value of freedom, national unity, and the sacrifices made to protect the nation.
