Jeypore, April 7: An important meeting of the Koraput district branch of the Odisha Clerical Association was held at Yadav Bhavan in Jeypore. The meeting was convened by the district president of the association, Jagannath Majhi, and was attended by clerical staff working in various departments across Koraput district.
On this occasion, the State Additional General Secretary of the association, Shashibhushan Das, attended as the chief guest and delivered his address. During the meeting, the participating clerical staff expressed dissatisfaction, stating that district-level employees have been consistently neglected.
On the other hand, it was noted that the government had issued a resolution two years ago regarding the restructuring of the cadre for district-level clerical staff, but it has not yet been implemented. As a result, the employees expressed resentment over being deprived of promotions.
For future action, it was decided that a “Clerical Deliberation Program” (Amala Chintan) of the Odisha Clerical Association will be held on April 12 at the Tribal Museum in Koraput. On the same day, it was also decided to announce the date and venue for the state-level elections of the association.
Information was also shared requesting the presence of Mr. Das, along with all state and district-level leaders, to attend the program.
