Khurda, June 8: The responsibility of regularizing the service records of government employees who are about to retire lies entirely with the concerned departmental officers. Departmental authorities must ensure that all pension-related documents of employees are finalized at least two months before retirement and sent to the pension sanctioning authority and the Accountant General’s office.
Speaking at the district-level Pension Adalat held this morning in the conference hall of the District Collector’s office, Additional District Magistrate (General), Pratap Chandra Beura reviewed 222 pension cases from 86 district-level offices. He directed officials to resolve all pending pension cases of employees within 15 days. He also instructed departments to examine the status of disciplinary proceedings and vigilance cases involving employees and submit reports to the district administration.
ADM Shri Pratap Chandra Beura reviewed pension cases relating to all तहସିଲ offices, blocks, Block Education Offices, district-level offices, Works Department, Forest Division, Health Department, Drinking Water Department, Education Department, Water Resources Division, Agriculture Department, Transport Department, Excise Department, and other offices in the district. He instructed officials to provide provisional pension to retiring employees on the very day of retirement and to complete all formalities for sanctioning their permanent pension at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by departmental officers, deputy officers, and senior revenue assistants from various departments.
