Kotpad Flood Situation Reviewed as Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sasmita Mellaka Visits Affected Areas and Meets Local Residents

Kotpad: Sept 1 [UDN}:Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sasmita Mellaka visited several flood-affected areas of Kotpad to take stock of the situation and assess the difficulties being faced by people in the aftermath of the recent floods. During her visit, she interacted with local residents and affected families and took firsthand information about the condition of roads, communication facilities, drinking water, sanitation, healthcare and other essential services.

The visit was aimed at understanding the ground realities in the flood-hit areas and ensuring that necessary assistance reaches the affected people without delay. Several villages and low-lying areas in the Kotpad region have been affected by heavy rainfall and rising water levels, resulting in disruption to normal life. In some locations, residents have faced difficulties in accessing roads and other basic facilities.

During her field visit, Sasmita Mellaka inspected the affected areas and spoke directly with villagers about the problems they had encountered.
